I'm a postdoctoral researcher in the PBS lab at Seattle Children's Research Institute and GRID Lab at University of Washington. My current work uses intracranial EEG, direct electrical stimulation, and structural neuroimaging data to understand how brain rhythms and affect regulation circuitry develop.
My broad research interests are in developmental neurophysiology, systems physiology, and the interplay between the brain and behavior.
My Ph.D. training was co-supervised by Dr. Sheri Mizumori and Dr. David Gire in the University of Washington Psychology Department, where I studied the neurophysiological and behavioral links between learning, memory, and decision-making.
Before grad school I worked as a research associate in the neural coding team at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, and got my start in neuroscience research as an undergraduate in the lab of Dr. Marti Bosma.
I also co-founded Grey Matters Journal, the University of Washington's undergraduate neuroscience outreach publication. After writing and editing for the inaugural issue and early blog, I took over as senior editor. During that time I implemented group editing and production models, oversaw all content and editorial decisions, created the quarterly production timeline, led workshops on critical research consumption, and championed multi-disciplinary outreach with a focus on inclusivity of voice and background.
